A path light lives outside for every hour of its life. So the body is sealed at the seams, the shell is powder-coated, and the rating is on paper — not implied.

Install
Three steps. No tools. No wire.
Nothing to trench, strip, or plug in. If you can push a stake into soil, the job is done.
Switch it on. Lift the square shade, press the button to ON, seat the shade back down.
Build the post. Press the rod into the ground spike until it clicks, then twist the lantern head on.
Push and walk away. Space them down the path, press into soil, let them take one full day of sun.

Cold LEDs flatten a house. They wash the brick, kill the shadow, and make a front garden look like a loading bay. Warm amber does the opposite — it lands low on the path, keeps the shadow, and makes the walk feel designed.

Straight answers
The questions people actually have.
It will if you hammer it. Don't. Water the spot first, or open a pilot hole with a screwdriver, then press the spike in by hand with even pressure. Two minutes of prep and this stops being a problem. Never strike the lantern head to drive the stake down — that is how people break these, and it's avoidable.
Runtime drops. Honest answer. Overcast days still charge, just slower, so you may get closer to 4–6 hours instead of the full night. Move them out from under eaves, tree cover, and north-facing walls — the biggest cause of weak runtime is shade on the cap, not a weak battery.
Yes. The housing is frost resistant and IP65 sealed, so snow and freeze are not a failure point. Expect shorter nights of light in winter because the days are shorter — that's physics, not a fault. Brush snow off the cap and they carry on.
No, and it shouldn't. This is accent and wayfinding light: a warm amber pool at each lantern so you can read the edge of the path. If you want a floodlight for a whole yard, buy a floodlight. If you want the walk to look intentional at 10pm, this is the correct tool.
If they get similar light, yes — each has its own sensor and they trip within moments of each other. If one lags, it's shaded. The fix is placement, not the unit. Give every cap a clear view of open sky.
No. IP65 covers sustained water jets, which is exactly what a sprinkler is. The one thing to avoid is standing water — don't stake them where the ground puddles and stays wet for days.
Partly. They ship with a low charge, so night one is short. Switch them ON, place them, and let them take one full uninterrupted day of sun. Judge the runtime from night two, not night one.

Finally, not blue.
I've been through three sets of the dome ones and hated all of them — that cold hospital white. These are properly warm. My husband walked outside the first night and said the front of the house looks like a hotel. Exactly what I wanted.

Almost snapped one being impatient. Watered the strip along the walk, waited twenty minutes, and then all five went in by hand with no fight. Two weeks in, still dead straight and all five come on together around 8:40.
Accent light, not floodlight
Went in expecting to light the whole front garden and that's not what these do. Once I adjusted my expectations they're lovely — a soft pool at each one, enough to see the step edges. Four stars only because I wish the spacing guide was clearer in the box.
Sprinklers hit these point-blank every morning at six. Six weeks, zero fogging, zero flicker. I was fully expecting to be writing an angry review by now.
